So people? This big guy's coming up and promises to pack a lot of punch. It seems to be a pretty petite powerhouse with a pretty impressive 3400mAh battery unit. It will also deliver eye-catching in 1080p on a 5.7 inch display panel. The eye-catching feature however is a dedicated audio chip. It supports the Texas Instruments OPA2604 amp and has native flac support.

So who's planning on replacing their portable source with this?

It seems to be pretty good with state-of-the-art tech bred into it. Although, I don't have any info on the amp chip and is performance. Maybe some expert Head-Fier could help. Am also looking forward to the launch :)

I read about this thing today and am impressed spec wise. I NEED a new PMP and this seriously seems to meet my requirements.

I am really considering this, in order to replace my old Desire Z.
Read a chinese review saying that the SQ was better than the Walkman Z.
here is the link: http://bbs.imp3.net/thread-11014082-1-1.html .

But there wasn't enough detail about the SQ, so I am still waiting more informations.
Here's an interesting video abaout the phone:

The only problem of the video: we still don't learn enough about the SQ...

Another review in French:

http://www.androidetvous.com/2013/06/27/test-du-vivo-xplay-une-phablet-chinoise-attractive/

The good:

-Full HD screen
-NFC technology
-good SQ
-ergonomics
-android 4.2 (modified and called "Free Touch") quite pleasant to use

The Bad:

-The autonomy is not good.
-The quality of the photos is average (i.e. bad since it is a 13MP camera)
-out of China, gps is a problem
-no sd slot

For me the battery is a problem: according to the guy, after a day on his desk, with the Wifi switched on, the battery almost completely emptied.

I am using the earlier model of VIVO X1, which has been said to be inferior to Xplay. X1 is well better than IPC in SQ and at least not inferior to Sony 1050. with ample power to easily drive Shure E5C, I am more than happy with this 11G room DAP with an Android system and cellphone function.

Those of you who pay attention to BBK Vivo series might like to know the X3 is almost ready to be released, and it will have the latest ESS Sabre chip, the ES9018 MK2 - which is the 2 channels, mobile version of the original 8 channels ES9018 found on CX100 and HM901. BBK's PR just posted something over at erji.net explaining that the ES9018 MK2 is a join project between BBK and ESS. Last year, BBK went to ESS asking for an optimized version of the DAC for their smartphone project, and that's how ES9018 becomes ES9018 MK2.

So do you think the x3 will sound better than the upcoming ibasso dx50?
