Hello Head-Fiers,

we are happy to announce the launch of 2 (in words: TWO) new earphones to you. And if that was not enough, we are leaving our traditional field of highest class CIEMs and expand our line-up to the world of universal In-Ears – aside the ERLKöNIG, that you all knew as our only universal earphone.

The ELYSIUM universal is the same ELYSIUM as the custom version regarding the technical components – but transferred into our incredibly comfortable universal shell.

It comes in the ELYSIUM signature design with clear shells and the special premium ELY SE faceplates.

The exclusive ELYSIUM cable (premium 8 wire spc 28AWG cable with a 2.5mm OYAIDE balanced connector) coes with it as well, of course.

The EVE Concept

This is more than just a new model. It´s a debut of a new product line. With the EVE20 we give birth to the all new Exclusive Vision Ears concept. A limited Edition universal earphone which is only available for a certain number and only for one year!

Each year a new universal model is going to be released with different concept and tuning. All equipped with the legendary fit of our universal earphones shell. We only produce a certain number during the year, so it is always limited in number. This year (2020) we start with the EVE20, next year will be the EVE21 and so on…

This concept is open to all driver count and price tags. This year it is 6 drivers, next year it could be 9 or 5.

We will enjoy the freedom to break with habits and come up with sound designs you never expected from us. And for the next years we will take this playground to explore the boundaries of visual designs.

We will keep you surprised.

If you have questions regarding the new products, please do not hesitate to contact us via the normal channels (info@vision-ears.de, +49 221 80064334) or here on head-fi. We are happy to be in touch!

Take care and stay healthy!

All the best from Cologne/ Germany,

Your team at Vision Ears

Oh crap! Have you considered an EVE subscription yet? 3 years for 30% off.

Must be an amazing playground for your sound designer, though. I guess he got bored and wants to release more toys. 🙂

Good for the Elysium! It deserves a greater reach.

Great to see Vision Ears finally offering more universal IEMs! Is the shell design new, or did you use one of the designs from your demo units? I tried two different types and remember loving the newer demo units (back in 2017).

Vision Ears are absolute kings of tuning, imo.

The Erlkönig completely reshaped my perspective on what's possible in a universal iem. It also opened my ears to the reality that musicality does not need to be given up for the sake of detail; the erlky is both more detailed and more fun than anything else i've listened to...nothing else I have heard to date has come close.

The Elysium has the best vocals I've ever heard in an iem, and its unique tuning shows that VE is both bold and incredibly creative when deriving driver configurations to produce an emotional listening experience.

What a fun project the Eve will be!

Is there any reviews now for the universal elysium? How much is the universal elysium in usd?
Hi @singingbee,
there should be a lot of reviews for the ELYSIUM online here on head-fi and on numberous reveiw sites. You can find many of them listed on our website. Apart from that, there is a demo tour running in the US including ELYSIUM, organized by @Barra. In the attached thread, tour members discussed their listening impressions.

Thje ELYSIUM universal has a SRP of 2500,00 EUR incl. 19% German VAT. If it is exported outside the European Union, the VAT will not be charged. So it is 2100,84 EUR. With todays exchange rate from € ==> $ this will be around 2.277,56 US$. But please be aware that there might be import taxes and/or customs to pay in your country.

Hope that helps!

All the best from Cologne,

Johannes

Hi @Vision Ears , does the new Universal version have the exact tuning of the universal demo of the custom Ely, or has it been slightly adjusted in the treble to account for the treble spikes in a universal?

Same tuning as confirmed by VE in their thread :)

Yea, that's the thing. VE usually tunes their IEMs for customs. Universal counterpart of it will end up sounding brighter than the custom version. A couple of my friends who tried the Elysium demo as part of the VE tour, reported back that it was on the bright side. So I am hesitant to pull the trigger without demoing it first.
