What is all of this uproar in relation to? A demo unit not being made available for a tour? It isn’t an obligation for manufacturers to provide a unit for a tour and whatever they decide shouldn’t be seen as a reflection on the products quality. I have the EXT mk2 as well as the original and VE10 and can say it’s an excellent addition to the lineup and stands alone as a great distinct product offering.

I usually do not hear much from VE on the weekends and evenings (Europe time zone) since they seem to respect work hour boundaries. I bet they will get back to us Monday. If not then I stand corrected. :)

The original question, not request as some would like to add drama, is from 19 September.

There's is no obligation to anything but actively ignoring request, then post later the several previous posts if not a great behavior by human standard especially when you later post a direct link for sells

Acting like so send a message to the place they care for us as previous customers.

There's no uproar but a deserved call out and whispers between community members.

By the same logic Meze community manager does not have to respond or interact with head-fi members cause I've an Elite on my desk. Does this sentence seems ego centered? just replace with Vision Ear to estimate if it makes more sense to talk like this...

You completely missed the point of my post. I commented on the attempt to link the brands apparent misdemeanours in community interactions with product quality. Nothing about calling them out for said wrongdoings.

Hi everyone,

you are correct in calling us out for not reacting to the tour request yet. We have been a bit too busy on several fronts and have not yet found the time.

I have to apologize here! And we certainly would like to organize a tour, which we usually do not do at all with limited editions. But we are very proud of the MK II and would love to give you the chance to listen to it!

@SteffSergeant would you still be willing to start/organize it? If yes, please drop me a pm or e-mail and we will get this started asap :)

Sorry again and all the best from Cologne

Jonas

@Vision Ears

I would like to pass the organization to @psklrdk. Paskal is a reliable and well educated friend, that can handle this tour. Unfortunately I’ve to withdraw, because I‘ll quit this platform at the end of the year, so it would be difficult to manage this from outside.

I think the best way would be to open a new thread, so that there is a fresh start with new interest parties. As you see I crossed already three names, because they aren’t interested anymore…

Well I got my tour unit of the EXT Mk ii today - from Bloom Audio and for over three grand in American pesos - been listening to them almost nonstop for five hours with a little A/B with the 64 Audio Volur. They are both a similar sound signature so one of these sets will have to go.

These are an excellent pair of IEM and end game if you are a fan of this sound signature. I was so interested when I saw the mids were handled by a dynamic driver, and it does not disappoint. I always want a DD for bass, and have been excited to see DD for mids in some models. I love that the mids DD is purely dedicated to mids and leaves the highs to the EST drivers.

So far very impressed with the build quality, the cable is nice and supple and well-braided, they look discreet but are impeccable, and the sound is right up my alley - an overall organic sound leaning to the warmer/fun side of things but also with excellent technicalities. Was definitely worth returning the Trifecta for these. The Trifecta to me are worth it to me, if they were priced at $999 like some lovely ThieAudio IEM's are. They do provide a nice unique sound that I want, just not for 3,000 American pesos - hell no.

I haven't logged in until now, but yes, I'm definitely very interested (based in the UK here)!
Thanks to @Vision Ears for arranging this (and my respect and appreciation for your gracious response to the messages regarding this tour!) :)

Oh, and just noticed that @psklrdk seems to be organising this now, so just to let you know of my wish to participate too! :)

I get to try the EXT mkII next week! I see some concerns about the nozzle size. Hopefully it's no bigger than the Annihilator which I can only wear for 1-2 hours.
Have you tried COMPLY TZ yet? They might solve that issue

I gave the EXT MKII a try and I'd say "excellent technicalities" is an understatement. I was blown away by the precision of the imaging. I also enjoyed the emphasized but non-siblant treble, the emphasis of sub-bass over mid-bass, and the smaller shell size compared to most other TOTL iems. My only issue was with the recession of the lower mids but this really depends on what genre of music I'm listening to.
