Can anyone offer me any impressions of how these Power cords increased the sonic characteristics of their cd players. Or even if there was a minimal, to no change what so ever.

Both these power cords are in my budget just not sure if the VD is worth the extra cash. This would be a jump from a standard PC power cord, and the CD player in question is the Arcam Alpha 9.

The thread itself is HUGE, but you'll find tons of info here about the benefits of the Power 3 you're looking at.

THREAD LINK

In it many extol the virtues and benefits of this wonderful cable. Enjoy.

I own both. The APC is a noticeable improvement over stock cords, and was my power cord of choice for awhile. The Power 3 is an improvement over that. What I hear is increased dynamics and a lower noise floor, which leads to better definition. The effects of these cords may differ depending on system and power in your area.
