I'm planning on DJing later this week and I was thinking about using both my USB DAC and my normal analog computer so I can premix and hear whats going on through headphones. Unfortunately there's this big issue with the sampling rates. I have no idea what it is, but as soon as I use the "dual soundcard" option the sound will be horribly distorted, and I have no idea why. I have everything set to 48 khz 16 bit and nothing seems messed up with either the VDJ settings or my MIDI settings. I use a Macbook pro, if that's any help to anyone. Is it the internal soundcard attempting to drive both sources? what the hell is happening? It works perfectly on my friend's PC.
