I have also heard that but it seems to work very well. I am not 100% sure whether I have the "bounce" right on the suspension on my TD125 though (which is in the standard black wooden plinth). It seems rather stiff compared to a TD160 I had. I may try and get hold of some Linn springs which are pretty identical

I have heard people level the same criticism at the Ittok on the Lp12 but I have also heard of people fitting an OL Silver so I don't know. Have you tried any other arms on the TD125. I was thinking about checking out the Hadcocks and the Ittok?

If you want to try out the rega you will need a washer with the same sizes hole as the rb250 to fit the SME hole in the armboard and it helps with the VTA if it's about 3mm thick. VTA on rega is a pain.

Although it fared OK, I can't stand the bouncy 165, for practical reason I liked stiff 125 much better. Btw, do you use V15 with brush 'on' or lifted ?

I really wish I can find more (used) vinyl here to jusitfy spending on record cleaner and more cartridges ... I haven't tried any MCs and I feel cartridge play a big role once we have a good enough / decent table.

I've only tried the 3009 iii also AT1120 on TD125 - call it placebo but I found the combo 125/3009 ii very sweet and 'forgiving' (to bad setups =). Have you tried LP12 / Ittok ? Any big overall improvement over 125 or like they say more on the tuneful bass ?

use it both ways depending on how dirty the record is.

I am also going to buy an RCA. I think the Moth one. I think it looks like it will work better than the Nitty Gritty. Although it's not as pretty.

I am also thinking of getting an LP12/ Ittok / Naim set up but I don't think I will part with my TD125. It sounds awsome on anything recorded before 1980. Then again this could be my phono stage which is a bit Valvey. It's a big Class A Marantz PM94 which sounds great with my CD player so i'm keeping that too.
