This is the place to rave about your 10+ year old headphone models that stomp all over the current ones... or maybe not.
Or at least, still are quite competitive.
For me, this would be:
HD540 - still an excellent headphone if you throw some EQ at it, and I can run it directly from my sound card without them opamps breaking into sweat.
HD420SL - maybe not for
s and not the easiest to drive, but an enjoyable listen.
We currently have a K240M thread already, now what about vintage DT990s, K400/500s and such? Or why not some 'stats (I must confess I still find the variety of Stax models to be very confusing...)?
