I have a pair of boxed, new looking (but certainly vintage), CROWN Stereo Headphones model SH-850V - and I can't find a single thing about them. Can anyone help?

The specs on the box read:

Sensitivity 115 dB at 1,000 Hz with 1mW
Frequency Response: 20-18,000 Hz.
Unit Impedance: 8 ohms at 1,000 Hz.
Matching Impedance: 4-16 ohms.
Maximum Input: 0.5W

They are made in JAPAN and have large volume control dials on the each ear cup.

Very vintage cream and funky looking! But nowt on the net about then in any way shape or form.

'the ultimate in listening pleasure' is the catch phrase on the box.

The company was Crown Radio Co Ltd, Russell Gardens, Wickford Essex.

I have some pics uploaded on Flickr here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/96880970@N05/shares/4311uB

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

How do they sound?

They sound poor.

However I wonder if that's to do with the fact this pair of headphones have never been used since - well it must be the early 70's at a guess. They look like new old stock.

So, should I leave these headphones running in over many days to see if they open up? Or are they just poor full stop?
