Actually, I've had them both (had the 7506's a while back, same as the V6's). I liked the deep deep bass of the Sony's, but there were two things that eventually made me get rid of them:
1) flat/lacking midrange - there just doesn't seem to be any. I remember there being a thread titled "V6: ham sandwich without the ham". Very good description. The bass however was deep, but not boomy.
2) the high end - there seems to be a lower treble peak that is very fatiguing to listen to. Makes jazz (Miles Davis) verrry sharp and difficult to listen to. With rock its ok, still harsh most of the time, due to this plus #1 above.
The V6's are durable as hell, though..
The K141S's are the newest in my stable... I like them very much. Not fatiguing to listen to at all. They sound warmer than the V6's. Pretty easily powered by portables, I've used them on a D-121, D-131, D-33, and D-180K, as well as my D-EJ955 before I sold it. I liked the sound. Warm, nonfatiguing, but you can still hear the details. Plus they look cool
and they have a detachable cable. They don't isolate as well as the V6's, but that's pretty hard to do. Once they're on your head, they don't leak that much at all. I'm actually selling them, since I have a pair of K401's on the way and need something smaller to tuck in a bag with my laptop to watch movies. But for listening with a portable, I would recommend them. The V6's would be a good choice too, just depends on the application.
Hope that helps!
