V6, especially with the Beyer pads.

Though I have never owned Sony V6s, I can say I am very surprised at how comfortable the K81DJs have been so far. I wore them on a three hour plane ride yesterday and had no problems at all. I suppose I must have a smaller head though, as many people have had severe comfort issues.

I also have never tried the V6 but like my K81. I do have a larger head but don't find the "clamping effect" many people find. I also have a pair of DT990 pros.....oooooh comfort! The V6 look heavy to me.

People, let's not give the wrong impression here, supraaural headphones are as a type not as comfortable as circumaural, especially when they clamp tightly as the K81dj certainly do. Moreover, the V6 is widely known for being comfortable, and with a pair of Beyer velour pads, they can be extremely comfortable indeed. The weight difference is 150 grams versus 220. For comparison, a K701 weighs 235 grams.
