I guess there are replacement pads for the V6's that are suppost to be much more comfortable and that dont crumble. Where can I find these, who makes them and are they expensive?

The ones that a lot of use are from Beyerdynamic for the dt250 headphone they sell. The pads themselves are VELOUR. Very soft and comfy. They cost about $22 shipped.

Do the beyer pads bring the drivers farther back from the ear? My big thing about the V6 pads is that they only come less than a cm out from the drivers, thus giving them a somewhat clostraphobic feel. To me anyay..

Yeah... it's a old, but I figured it's better than starting another replacement V6 pad thread.

Anyways, just bought the Beyer velour dt250 pads from B&H, they do come with felt along with 2 plastic adapters needed probably for the beyers...

Summary: They come with felt now. No need to go rip apart the old ones.
