V MODA M-100 still recommended for 250$ headphones?

As the title implies is the
V MODA M-100 still recommended for USD 250$ headphones? or is there something better im missing out.
Closed back and strong bass and clarity is what im looking for.

The sound blaster comes with 2x 3.5mm outs made to be able to share music with someone. However I used each Jack to power each driver. Bass made the m100s oscillate they were so powerful. You may be able to do this without modifying the m100s internal wiring as they are built with an input on each can. I modded them with 99.99% oxygen free silver internally and got rid of the wiring that interconnects the two drivers which allows the use of only one input by design and made a cable using silver to power each driver totally separate from the other.

I'd go Meze 99 Neo over m100. Bass better IMO, and they are more detailed, not as recessed as m100.

If you don't care about warranty, you can get M100's for around $150 from Amazon Warehouse Deals. I got mine for $150 about three months ago or more, and they still work great as my portable cans.
