The sound stage isn't huge, but it has both depth AND width like you're standing in a small club about 10 feet from the stage. A lot of people say the depth is deeper than the width is wide.
All open headphones kill closed headphones on sound stage. It's like saying a convertible has fewer blind spots than a coupe.
They won't be the most comfortable, no. These aren't the most comfortable headphones in general. If you want comfort and portability with larger ears, I'd stick to single flange IEMs.
