I just got a pair of 100's yesterday and am loving them so far. My ears really need the XL pads though. The outer part of my ear rubs on the driver and they become uncomfortable after an hour or 90 minutes. I ordered a pair of XL pads yesterday, but as someone said its going to be 4-6 weeks and I'm oging to do a lot of listening between now and then. If someone has a pair and didnt care for the fit or sound of the XL's, Ill offer $25 shipped to 55446 as long as they're close to new condition.

Also, these phones make James Blake sound better than anything I've ever listened to, and this includes some high end phones that I just got a chance to listen to at a local meet (like the HD 600, 650, 700, 800, momentum's, and a bunch of others im forgetting about). Overall very happy with them.

I have an issue with the boompro mic. I use the mic a lot for talking with friend on teamspeak for hours every day and I found the mute button behaving weird. First off all it doesn't completely block the mic if there is a strong wind on the mic for example it will still pick it up just like you never muted the mic but this isn't big of a deal. What is weird is that sometimes randomly it picks the audio that is playing from your source and just pass it through the mic. It never happens when the mic is on just when it's muted.
Anyone else have this issue?

Ah, thanks Miceblue. Yeah sounds pretty meaningless to me too. It comes up quite a lot though, particularly on Beyerdynamic threads.

Does anyone listen to Yello on these M-100's? Their older stuff in particular sounds stella(r).

I have noticed the sound mellowing a bit now but I still tend to think it's my brain getting used to the sonic signature rather than the drivers burning in. Either way, I'm going to sell my Shure SRH840's. I had initially anticipated having to keep them as the compromises in the M-100's would make them unsuitable for all-purpose use but it's not working out that way. I'm loving this sound.

I use the NuForce Transient cable I didn't notice any change in terms of sound.  Moon Audio sells balanced M-100 but the cable has to be hard wired.

Hi Doc, do you mind if I ask why you use an aftermarket cable? I'd like something shorter than the stock cable and a smooth outer casing would be preferable to the stock braided design.

The NuForce Transient cable is 1.5m which is slightly shorter than the stock V-MODA cable (1.75m) and is smooth.  No strange plastic bulges to hang up on your shirt collar, either.  :)

Exactly my reason, as the Transient cable's texture is very close to the ones from the Momentum.  Since I mainly use my M-100s indoor, I don't need something as tough as the stock cable.  Besides, back then no one has this cable for the M-100, so I ordered it to confirm fitment of the plug for the M-100, which worked out great.
