I've put up a new thread asking for what headphone I should try next (or if I should give the M-100 another shot) - if those of you with extensive experience with the M-100 (miceblue, Craigster75, etc) could provide your input on the M-100 over time (as well as any other headphones I have on the list), I'd be thankful.

This is mainly to see if the comfort can improve over time and if so, how.

Thanks in advance everyone!

(PS: I don't mean to derail the thread, please carry on with your discussions - help is more than welcome though.)

Now that the XL pads are a reality, I would think M-100 could be the best of all worlds for you.  I am personally not in a rush for the XL pads because I don't consider the existing pads to be so uncomfortable and because the XL pads are currently offered only in black.  As a reminder, my primary headphone is now the Ultrasone Signature DJ, but when I switch to the M-100,  I feel they really hold their own sonically and a year later they are still my favorite headphone in the $300 price range.  This is a big statement because, prior to the M-100 and Sig DJ, it felt like I had a new favorite headphone every week.  I still have no desire to upgrade either headphone as I am completely satisfied with their sound.

I will probably give these a try once the XL pads are out, then I know for sure what all the fuss is about. I'm extremely picky myself and my only worry is that lower-midrange probably won't fully satisfy me but I hope I'm wrong.

No sibilance in my experience. It's one of Val's sound design philosophies.

You have to remember that simblance to one person might not be to another. I am usually not bothered by it so hopefully others can chime in too. If all of your headphones have it then maybe you're just more aware of it and it bothers you more.

That could be true, i just cant stand it.
