first, hope everyone had a good xmas..........sorry if the subject sounds a bit confusing, its just that i was wondering if you can use earphones supplied with in-ear monitor systems with day to day listening, such as the Shure E5 or Ultimate Ears range of phones'. Is there any difference to when using other earphones soundwise? (am i still making any sense?!?) its just that i have found these types of earphones sound more better and their sound is clearer.

what i mean is that the in ear monitors that musicians use, in that is alright to use them as 'normal everyday' earphones when plugged into cd player, minidisc etc as my mate uses his UE-5 pro, with his md player and cd player all the time.

Do you mean, if the earphones that are part of a musicians monitoring package are not used as part of the package, and instead are plugged into a CD, MD, etc. player? Is that what you are asking?

The ulitmate answer is in the middle of your head. If it sounds good to you, then it IS good. Who cares how you are 'supposed' to use something?

It's probably obvious by now, but the answer is 'of course.' Not to mention, the sound is leaps and bounds better. Did you think there was an associated health risk or perhaps monitors weren't meant to be paired with DAPs?

Heck, non-musicians will splurge on JH13s simply for the listening pleasure.
