Hi guys,

I just got the ipod V, and i need to have a power adaptor. I don't quite want to spend the money on the USB power adaptor, and i have a couple firewire power adaptors from previous ipods. So i was wondering if i get the sik ram din, can i use it with my firewire power adaptor?

The sik site says it'll charge the nano, but doesn't say anything about the ipod V, i'm guessing it'll work with the V as well. Just want to have a second opinion in case my ipod will blow up into a mushroom cloud because of it.

Much thanks.

The Firewire cable will charge the iPod, however, it will not sync any data. You can even hook up a Firewire cable to your computer and iPod and while it won't sync, it will charge the iPod. I do the same thing. I have a 4G Firewire charger and I just use that with a firewire cable.
