Which one is the best?, the Bowers are used (6 months according to seller), I could get the sony's brand new from amazon uk but I guess I wouldn't be able to apply the warranty in case of failure.

The bowers are about $200 us dollars, the sony are about $220 new and about $175 used (9 months according to seller)

Both are praised in this website but I can't make up my mind, also, are used headphones worth buying?

I have both, really.
The sony is my favorite but it is close. The bw is darker, more rich, some say but not lively & is boring.
I will sell mine & 2 weeks return guarantee.
I have covered mine with felt as it is noisey plastic. Also stuffed cotton behind the drivers.
But all this makes is as quiet as the bw.
Which is stunningly made.

I have both:
Sony: great for bass and "fun" listening, not for people that are critical
B&W: great for musical purists with clean bass. it gets super hot and it's heavy on the head. I can't wear it for extended period because of this.

I prefer the B&W because I prefer the warm, clean sound. the Sony is only for when I want to listen to hip hop for a long time.

I seriously considered your contention that the BW was bdtter & I had not noticed some how, I got the bw first & was disappointed , is seemed boring in comparison to my TA-N90 & ss7's.
So I got the Sony, and never looked back at the p7.
The Sony was noiser with head movement, easily fixed.
On this revisit I played a variety of P Simons Graceland 24/96 Japan to hip hop. I do not hear that these p7s are musical at all. Still boring....

Do you know that the p7 is a simple paper/ or at least susceptible to moisture leading to diaphram distortion, like when listen in the tub, they are cool but not audiophile as the Sony.

Audiophile:
Most people think they can learn to be one, you must be born one, and no Women are. There are studies on the .1% of men who have hearing the necessary hearing acuity.

How many here do you think could even be one?

Now enjoyment of music is something all of us can do.

Well after living with the S for a while, & even with the Hiby eq rolling off the 125 to 50 hz in must say the p7 is better under 500 hz.
I do believe the 100khz upper range makes the S better for certain music.
It adds sub harmonic sizzle to many pre classical music.
