Okay so I have found a FiiO X3 for arround 80$, it was bought arround 2,5 years ago - the owner says...
and he said that he was using it as portable player only once in 2-3 months when he was on the road.
So now, I would like to debat if 80$ is a price that would be reasonable to pay for a used FiiO X3?
Photos of it show that the unit is in good condition, but the battery etc.?

It is gen 1 tho do you still think it is a good choice :D?

Used one still goes for around $130ish if it works looks clean and not abused go for it. There isn't really noticeable sound quaility difference between gen 2

I would not get a gen 1 personally, you should be able to find a gen2 for slightly more just keep searching. Or get an X1 unless you need the extra features of an X3.

That X3 is in the price of used X1 and it seems like it is in a really well state judged by the photos.

Btw. that X3 allows FLAC - so what is the best source of FLAC music? Where to buy or to find it?

X1 does Flac as well, the  X1 I use as a portable rig has a 200gb SDXC which it recognizes just fine. As far as source of FLAC files I burned 75% of my cd collection into 16/44.1 FLAC using dbpoweramp and have about 25 albums I purchased in 24/96 format as well plays them all fine. If you want the first gen X3 go for it. I would not buy a first gen anything in the electronics world but that's me. BTW i bought my X1 for $70 USD used and it was 2 months old.
