I currently have a AK240 and HDVD800. Would it make sense to go ahead with this setup?

MBP > AK240 > HDVD800 > LCD-XC/3

Is the AK240 DAC section worth it to get the cabling which is about $300-400?

The New Bifrost has the same dac chip as ak380. It only costs 399.
