So, I just purchased the Sound Blaster NX and plug and played it into my linux setup. For the most part I can't complain about it, it seems pretty accurate and clear. The only issue is the sound stage is quite noticably smaller than most other sources I've heard. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to fix it or is this a sad trait of this particular product?

Check and make sure the CMSS isn't on. Make sure nothing is on except for the bare min. settings.

it is so, heck, I'm not even sure how to enable cmss on this setup...
