Hey folks. Either my 0404 has bit the dust or my new motherboard has faulty PCI slots. Either way, I cannot get the sound card to work in Windows without BSODing.
What I'm looking for as a soultion is a USB DAC that is comparable in price and sound quality, eg $100 and E-MU 0404 SQ levels. Is the Silverstone EB01-B at $87 a decent replacement DAC for a PCI sound card? The upside to a USB DAC is that I could also use it with my laptop, though this particular DAC is on the large size.
