Looking for recommendations on USB DACs for 150 or less. Thanks for any responses.

zero will probably cost you closer to $200. The headroom total bithead might be something to consider.

There also seem to be a couple of interesting non-oversampling DACs that are cheap atm, Gigalab Moon and similar on eBay for about that amount too.

Shek H1 from Sigtone, very interesting little DAC/Amp combo for a budget price. I have been using it for 6 month and I like its warm but detailed sound, very good build as well.

You can have the Gigalab Moon DAC for the money, so I don't understand looking at any op-amp driven crap with or (worse) without the USB port.

Ummm.... I don't want two devices and I know that a NOS DAC would sound better but I'm just trying to have an all in one DAC / AMP with only two cables (usb, and walwart) that sounds better than the on board sound in a reference design intel 965 mobo for my Grado SR80s.

If you can wait a month or two, we've persuaded an obscure but very interesting Chinese company to create a quality Zero DAC alternative for around $200-250. It's over the OP's budget though, obviously.

Interesting, keep us updated

At that price it would probably compete with the Keces 151 DAC.
