Update: I found a dc02 for cheap locally so gonna give that a shot first. Might grab the dc01 if I find one locally later. Thanks for the advice though.

Please test dc01 or dc02 before you buy it. Both of them have a very high noise floor. If you have sensitive or not so sensitive iems, you'll hear hiss. I myself cannot use any iems i own (Sd5, Prophile-8 and so on) with them. I own both dc01 and dc02.
Thanks for the info, I'll have it in ~2 days to test & see if it's for me or not. The upside is I can always sell it and go for the dc01 or a different cable altogether

I've tested dc02. There is no noise at all. The only problem is the left channel and right channel are not balanced. The seller told me to install iBasso UAC app and then the problem disappeared. I don't think that's a good solution so I returned dc02 to the seller.

That depends very much on the head or earphones you use with them. Low impedance and high sensitivity IEMs (especially balanced armature) suffer from the noise problem. get an Ifi IEmatch and the noise is not a problem anymore, dynamics are also improved. IMHO a must have for any IEM

Internet that you say that. I purchased an is match. The problem I have with it is that on the iems I've tried it with, sub bass is greatly reduced. Have you noticed that?

From reading this on a galaxy note 9, using the dc01 for flac files, the usage went from 5% to 9% per hour. It's apples to oranges since that's a smartphone and has background drainage, but imagining the % to be roughly 3-4% per hour on a 3000mAh (since you're using a dedicated media player that might be better optimized than some android app), that's about 90-120mAh usage per hour, so I'd say that you'd probably be fine for a good 8 hours.
I based my statement on reading somewhere that the dc01 chip was newer and more efficient, but upon further reading, it seems the efficiency is in the power produced, rather than the power taken, and the dc01 uses a slightly higher wattage according to this, but since the output power is less, you might end up with the same drainage if you were to use max volume on dc02 vs maybe 70% volume on dc01.
If you wait a few days, I can give you a % per hour comparison of usage with the dc02, running flac files, but again, it will be apples to oranges.
I say you'd be fine with either one for a good 7-8 hour listen.
The Sonata HDII when used on my Pixel 3a while streaming music from Google Play Music uses 1% every 7 to 8 minutes. The 3a has a 3000mah battery. I'd imagine if I had the music stored on the phone instead of streaming it, and had the phone in airplane mode it would probably drain 1% every 10 minutes or so instead.

Looking for a dac that works well with spotify, and have support for iem three button remote. Just want something as hassle free as possible, but with ok sound quality. Using a lg g7 with 1more triples atm but will probably be using a oneplus 7 pro, since the lg is in a horrible condition, and would appreciate if it didn't kill the battery too fast. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
