Hi,

i noticed my 2 USB-C dongles (VE Odyssey, Hidizs Sonata) output around 2.6VDC on one of their pins, but this voltage goes away when the 3.5mm is inserted all the way.

I noticed first with my HD58X when i inserted the 3.5mm jack, a massive pop in the headphones.

I don't like any weird sounds in my headphones because of driver damage. So i set to investigate and i found out using a 3.5mm cable connected to my DMM that as i plug in the headphones, the left side is quiet, but as the right and sleeve go over the mystery pin and ground, the driver pops quite heavily. The voltage across the driver is around 2.6VDC.

When the plug goes in all the way, the DC across both drivers is minimal, like 0.04mV.

Does anyone know why this happens and if it can damage my headphones?

Thanks
