i was given a pair of px100s and the connection where the miniplug is doesnt work.should i recable this or just cut off the end of the plug and replace it with a new plug from radio shack.thanks fore all your advice...paul

if you're in such a hurry, I would just replace the plug... definitely less work

Well, if you're certain it's the plug, then replace the plug. If the problem is further on up the chain, replace what needs replacing.
