Hi Guys,

A friend of mine is visiting States on monday for 5 days.

I was wondering if you can suggest me a good "deal for the money", so that I can take advantage of the Euro...

I currently have a hd600 and a 595 so I was looking for something different to hear what is like...

I was thinking the AKG K701 or some Grados around the 300/400$

Can you please assist me?

I would have to buy the cans tomorrow so they can arrive in time to an us address, also adveice for online shops are welcome

Thanks a lot guys!

I would believe Grado to be the top deal for euro people, taking into account both the currency and the overpricing over here. Go for a pair of SR225 or SR325i! I bought my RS1 while in NYC, at about half the retail price in Sweden.

If you are asking for recommendations it would be helpful if you provided more info. What kind of music do you listen to, what kind of sound signature do you prefer, do you have an amp to drive high impedance or difficult to drive headphones, etc.

You are right, but my knowledge is still so limited in this field

I do have an amp on the way (little dot III but I want to get a ss soon too!), kind of music: female vocals, trip pop, classic, easy listening mainly. Rock and electronic as side dish no metal or hard rock or electric guitar at all.

The music signature is something I want to discover

I like senn but I want to know what my options are if you know what I mean, I don't definetly like harsh or sibilant highs.

I got mine for the full retail price (=not very good) at a brick and mortar store since I only had a weekend there and wanted to try them before buying. I think they were $700, which is still very good, considering the RS1 is about $1400 in Sweden (straight currency conversion).
