Upgrading the 580s

I recently purchased a pair of 650s, but even after 50 hours of listening to them on both my GS-1 and modded X-Cans v1, I prefer the 580's sound. The 650s are borderline boomy on the low end and the vocals are recessed in the mids. The 580s seem much more natural and neutral. But there is one area that the 650s blow away the 580s: build.

Months ago I'd replaced the stock cable on the 580s with the 650 one, and I noticed that the grills can be replaced with those from the 600s. However, if I remeber correctly the overall build of the 600s is closer to that of the 650s, and so I may be better off just trying to find a pair of the 600s.

Can the 580s be upgraded to the 600's level with minimal cost?

The 600s use the same drivers as the 580, so mabey you just want a 600.

I'm just trying to convince myself not to buy a whole new pair of headphones, but it looks like that will be the case.
