Hello all :)

I have a so called "problem"

it all started with my sansa clip getting stolen, together with my Shure se210's

so i need a new pair of IEM's and a MP3 player

MP3 player is prety much decided to be cowon j3 32gb with an 16gb microSD

but the headphones is where im in doubt, my se210's was quite good i reckon but as i've gotten some moneys on my hands to spend on audio i thought i would go "all out" so i can have a pair of IEM's which will last me for quite some time.

i've been considering theese

- Sennheiser IE8
- Westone UM3
- Earsonic SM3
- no customs though

and im leaning towards the SM3's but i would love to get a response from someone who got any of theese 3 pairs of IEM's

- how are the cables ? (durability etc)
- comfort

and last but not least music taste;

- Very different
- Joe satriani
- Metallica
- Gorillaz
- Ingrid Michaelson

just a few examples

hope it was enough info, regards Hellesøe

I have the SM3 and J3 (32gb) and they are a wonderful, wonderful combination.  Comfort and fit is perfect with the stock double flanges and sound quality is out of this world with the J3.  The range of EQ options and sound enhancements with the Cowon means you should be able to find a great match for any genre of music you choose.

Cables are great - like the Westones.  The SM3s are very lightweight iems all round - with the perfect fit, its like I'm not even wearing them.
