My current Sennheiser HD 202 (mark I) are due for an upgrade. While I think they sounded great and were an amazing bang for buck pair of headphones, I need to upgrade because I am tired of having sore ears after only about an hour or so of wearing them.

Based on reviews, price, and sound quality, I am thinking of getting the Audio-Technica ATH-WS77. Since the HD202 are my only frame of reference, I am hoping someone here has tried both and can give feedback on the following points: Sound isolation, sound leak, and comfort.

I will be using them mostly in a small shared office (no cubicles) to listen to mostly techno & house music, through my laptop or my phone, while hopefully drowning out the occasional chatter that happens about 5 or 6 feet away from me. My listening volumes are usually in the 50-75% range. I'm not an audiophile but I appreciate good bass (I hear the WS77 are great for that).

Other headphones I am looking at are the ATH-M40X, HD280, HD439, or HD449, so if you know how they measure up against the HD202, feedback would also be appreciated on those.
