Hello folks, today I am forced to upgrade from my EP-830's cause the cable died.
So, here's a question for you: Which of these two are better?
Sennheiser CX300-II Precision or AKG K-330?

Hi!
Have a look at this thread if you're looking for a budget iem: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/478568/multi-iem-review-81-iems-compared-senn-ie8-fs-atrios-fa-eterna-hippo-vb-added-07-01

Thanks, I've read most of it by now, but the thing is - there's only the old CX300 there, and no mention of any AKG headphones.
That "database" of sorts criticized the Sennheiser's sound so much that I'm starting to have doubts if they will be better than my old EP-830's... :)
I think a review like that is inadequate for someone who has never listened to anything better than his stock EP's and will probably never be able to afford anything beyond the CX-300...

The CX300 is definitely not much of an upgrade over EP-830.
You can still order some budget iems on the Web. For instance, I bought my  girlfriend the Soundmagic MP21 to replace her old EP-630, and to me, they are a huge upgrade. And you can get them for under 20$!
