Hi everyone, I'm a new poster to head-fi but have viewed the forum on many occasions for headphone advice.

I'd like to get some recommendations for a pair of great sounding closed can headphones. I've been using my hd 598's for about 3 years now and I absolutely love them. But, I play a rhythm game that makes hearing myself click on my keyboard very distracting due to the open can nature of the 598's.

Are there any closed headphones that could be considered an upgrade from the 598's in terms of accuracy of sound? I wouldn't really want to spend over 500$ if possible. Also room to improve with a good DAC and amp would be nice.

AKG K500 came out years ago, but they received pretty decent reviews.

I would consider Audio Technica. They will have some good closed backs within your budget

You might entertain a B&W P7 or an NAD HP50 and see what you think. It's possible one could work.
