I currently own Sennheiser HD25 SPs and Shure E2cs. I am looking for a pair of headphones that would be a substantial improvement over either of these. My requirements are:
After reading this site for many hours, I am considering the Audio-Technica ATH-A900, since they are a closed can and can be powered easily by an iPod. I'm not sure if these represent a big enough leap ahead of the HD25s to justify spending the cash though.

- Comfort. I plan on wearing these for long periods of time while at the office. My HD25s are rather uncomfortable and I don't like to wear them for more than a couple of hours.
- Responsive. I would like to be able to power these with my 4G iPod. An amp is a possibility later, but ideally no amp necessary right now.
- Sound good playing jazz, classical, alt/classic/indie rock.
- Around $200. I could go a bit higher if necessary.
