hi , i am using gemini hrs1000 headphone which is working well decent and it is powered with 5.5 video ipod rockboxed. yeaterday i was looking at audio technica es700 headphone. you guys think will ES700 headphone be an upgrade sound wise. i am not worried about the portability. thanksss guys.

I would guess the ATH-ES700 would at least be a little better then the HSR-1000.

i have no problem with gemini srh1000 since it is a great headphone and budget under i guess $150. 
i want more bass but at the same time forward mids but i dont like sr60 sharp highs and m50 highs will be fine currently i own ksc75,portapro,gemini hrs1000,ath500mk2,akg240,dj100,athm40x but i say gemini is the best headphone soooo faaaar

I picked up the ATH-WS99 about six weeks ago, wanted to compare it to my ATH-ESW9.
The ESW9 is slightly better sounding and the WS99 has slightly more bass.
 
I gave my nephews my HSR-1000s, so I can't directly compare it to the WS99/ESW9.
