Not long ago I got a Sonica and I actually find the it sounds pretty darn good for what it is. I'm interested in upgrading to the Revo if it is supposed to be a lot better than the Sonica. Since the Revo's are so darn afforable I am thinking of just getting two of them, one for my computer at home and at work (I transport my gear to and from work daily). Both CPU's I use are Mac G4's.

I know the Revo is supposed to be excellent and I would use the Revo for music only via it's stereo analog out. I'm curious if anyone knows if I would see a pretty big improvement in the Revo over the Sonica? I know many would tell me without even hearing either one the Revo would likely be better, but I'd be real curious to know if anyone out there has actually owned or heard both and how much better the Revo is (if it is better)? Is the Revo hands down better?

Anyone owned the Sonica and Revolution? Any opinions out there? Anybody?

I have a Sonica, Audiophile 24/96, and Revolution 7.1. The Revo is a step above the others in analogue out. The way I hear it, the Sonica sound rather "stale" and Revo just sounds more alive... more air, instrument separation, better clarity. The other 2 sound cards are a bit rolled off on extreme ends. The Revo is a bit bright as it's top end kind of rolls up.

Sadly on Mac you don't have that many choices. What other good cheap PCI solution is there?
