Question, worth upgrading from the Logtech Z-5300 to something like Klipsch or Fluance 2.1 or 3.1? I had this Z-5300 since early 2000's. Thanks in advance

nah, if you upgrade, go with larger studio monitors of bookshelf speakers and a 12"+ sub, and an avr for surround sound or build off your headphone unit for stereo.

For a 2.1, Monoprice 5" studio monitors and Monoprice 10" sub-woofer.
Maybe a a DAC, to go between the computer and speakers.

How do I add a subwoofer to these Monoprice, there's no "Sub out"?

Also, what do you think of the Klipsch R-15M with a small RCVR like the Dayton Audio DTA 2.1BT https://www.parts-express.com/dayto...ier-with-bluetooth-and-power-supply--300-3830

What about something like Powered Monitors like the Klipsch R-15PM and forget about getting a RCVR?

With the Monoprice 2.1, the signal is first sent from the source (PC) to the sub-woofer, the sub-woofer uses the lower bass part of the signal, the rest of the signal is then sent to the studio monitors.
The Dayton Audio DTA 2.1BT is listed as discontinued.

The Monoprice studio monitors should at least equal the Klipsch R-15M, in audio detail, if not better the R-15M.
