My HeadDirect EF1 completely blew my mind...I loved it (except for the unbalanced-channels-at-low-volumes thing), but the chance came to sell it, and now I'm looking to upgrade. I'm looking for something with synergy with an HD580 (my main headphone right now), my YH-1, and ideally (if such a thing is possible) my HD225s, in that order. I'm using a V-DAC for my source, and I listen mainly to Renaissance and Early Baroque, with a bit of early Jazz (like Ella, Louis, and Duke).
Also, minor point, but the buyer didn't take all my tubes...if the amp used my existing stock of 12AU7's, that would be a plus. Of course, that's way below actually sounding good and synergizing with the rest of the equipment as concerns go.
