I'm wondering if it is worth it to change my D2. I'm happy with it so far but I've just changed my iem for shure se535 and some people told me these iem deserve a better player. Does it make sense ?
My files are mainly flac, directly ripped from my cds, and some mp3. I don't care about hi res files.
I don't know another brand but I find Cowon great for battery life and sound and durability. So I wanted to stick with them and choose the plenue D. Then I see a lot of chinese dap in the same price range (shanling m1/m2s , Cayin n3, fiio x3...) with amazing reviews.
As I have no opportunity to test one of these players, I really wonder if I can expect a significant upgrade of sound quality compared with the D2.
What do you think? Definitely worth it for a better sounding or just a whim to get a new modern toy ?
