Upgrade Balanced a47 for "Frankensixfifties" project, or move on?

You guys have to be getting tired of these threads--I'm so indecisive!

I'm contemplating a "Frankensixfifties" mod on my already hot-rodded HD 555's (somehow transplanting the 650 drivers in, but angled like the original 555 drivers--hey, it works for the HD 800, right?

). I'm not even sure if it's possible, but if it were:

I've heard the CMOY is not the best for driving HD 650's. Would my balanced a47 (which has current swing to spare) have enough voltage swing for the higher-impedance 650 drivers? Could I mod the circuit for more voltage swing?

...or would I be better off moving on to my balanced-JISBOS-with-gain project first?

I'm assuming 30v input voltage to deliver +/- ~15v to the circuit (max. supply voltage of the OPA Series seems to be +/- 18v)? Or did you mean +/- 30v at the supply rails?

Is that snazzy LCBPS from twisted pear you suggested earlier a good candidate to mod to deliver this? I'm assuming I'd need to find a larger transformer and change out the regulators.
