I know that there was a post about the hd700's a while ago, but I don't remember much. I think that these headphones would have the potential to be incredibly awesome if the veil was removed. Does anyone know if Sennheiser is going to do this? Also, if anyone knows any other info about these headphones or if you are just totally obsessed with the fact that the hd700's will soon exist, post whatever you want.

You are assuming that Sennheiser believes their headphones are veiled. Considering not even everyone (or necessarily a majority even) on Head-Fi believes that they are "veiled" that question is virtually unanswerable without another flame war over whether the HD600 is in fact less of a headphone than many people make it out to be.

What veil, you ask? Well, this may sound weird, but they just sound kind of veiled. I haven't tried any better headphones. But somehow I know what veiled sound sounds like.

And somewhere in my mind, I know what "perfect" sounds like. Even though I haven't actually heard it, I just know. I can feel it. It's like I have heard it before in a different life. And each upgrades gets me closer and closer to this sound, but never quite there.
