Hello!

i have kind of a weird question

up to some months ago i used these IEM https://s10.postimg.org/i133fhma1/425421708_107183_10273293476569477533.jpg

they look ( and looked cheap)
they seemed like some generic samsung in ears you find for 3€ at the supermarket
they look also pretty generic

BUT THOSE SOUNDED SO GOOD

too bad 1 monitor broke :(

1) output was very precise without any overwlming bass, also they followed the equalizer instructions very well
2) they fit perfectly in my ear canal
3) the cable was perfect during sport as well
4) they gave me music chills

later i've bought

1) sennheiser momentum iem : huge disappointment , not confortable at all, annoying "hiss" sound evrytime a vocalist spelled "S" or "ph" ; i still can't get over the fact i payed 100€ on these

2) xiaomi piston 3 : not as precise as 1) but at least no hiss sound and deeper bass , also much more confortable and better build quality .... for 15 €

3) bought another pair of samsung headphones that looked similar but THEY DIDN'T SOUND ANYWHERE NEAR THE ORIGINAL

so now the problem is : i cannot find this particular model of iem : i don't have the original selling box ( they were a gift )

is there any way to know what model were this godsent earphones?

anybody can help?

Hmm weird you found the Momentum in ears lacking bass extension compared to the pistons. I've had the pistons and never found the bass particularly good. It was ok.

What is likely is that you have #3 backwards. The Samsung ones are likely original, and the one you had is a knockoff, or the one you had is an original, but you found the wrong version. Samsung has two IEMs that looks similar to the picture: EG900 and HS330. It could be one of those.

Give us more info on the earphone you've had. More pictures. The one you uploaded is blurry and not so informative. Also info on which Samsung one you've tried might be good too.

i've tried to take a picture of both

on the left i got the new ones (which sound meh ) , on the right the good ones

i've noticed one thing

the volume rocker on the left one seem to not be the ones in neither the models you've indicated, maybe they are fake ? seems strange though since they were bought from an amazon reseller with high rating...

also the volume buttons are squared, while on the good iems they are rounded

the model i bought more recently is  EO-EG900BW ,or at least that's what the reseller says

Look at this one: http://www.samsung.com/us/audio/headphones/in-ear/hs330-wired-headset-w-inline-mic-white-eo-hs3303westa/
It could be that you have an older generation that's no longer made, but this one also has rounded buttons, so this might be it.

they have finally arrived

i've tried them asap and i was like EWWW

listening to Nightwish was awful, sounded very recessed and muffled, like they were playing their music in a cave, behind a 1mt thick door , increasing the volume only distorted badly

and i know these headphones are original, i mean, they are in their retail box

now all i can do is try to run them for 72hrs with pink noise and hope they get magically better but i guess they won't....

p.s. they are so bad that equalizer doesn't do ANYTHING to the sound

Sorry to hear that mate... from what I know, Samsung only currently makes those two earphones(that looks similar to yours). My guess is that the one you're looking for is a older generation of one of the two, or have been discontinued, which either way, will make it extremely hard for you to obtain. Sorry to say, time to move on to other IEMs.
