These IEMs certainly seem interesting. I have no way of trying them though, and although I suspect they are TOTL, I cannot justify a blind purchase at this cost.

Sure, blind buying any hi-end IEMs is kinda risky. I can guarantee the quality of V3+, and I'm pretty sure they are appealing to most people. I will try my best to provide a tour/demo to EU/UK friends, but to be honest it is a little hard for now, since we don't have a EU distributor yet. Anyway, we will do our best.

Was interested in it til I saw the extra 500usd price increase. I owned the original Mentor and I love it to dead, was onging to get the v3 and though 2100usd is very expensive, I can see where the extra 800usd are putting toward. This on the other hand I am not too sure, the only thing that interests me is the refine tuning but even so 500usd is a bit too much, the carbon fiber shell is great and all but I don't care much for it since I take good care of my IEM and the extra durability is unnecessary. Maybe a lite version with only refine tuning and cost 200usd more, then it will be more appealing to me.

Some extra explanation about the new carbon fiber shells. The carbon fiber shells can not only provide more durability and better fit, but also stabilize the sound performance provide a more coherent sound. I'm sure they are needed.

I see, though a demo of the unit is still needed for me to decide, my local retailer doesn't carry anything newer than the Maestro 2 and I plan to demo it next year February when I go to Singapore. Still interested in the unit but at the current MSRP it's a bit hard for me to justify the purchase. I live in VietNam and it's pretty hard to get hold of new UM products.

Can you compare mason v3+ vs anole vx?

I'm not expert on sound explanation but basically I found Mason3+ has fuller body on mid and low while Anole VX is more sparkling.(trying with SP1000m Gold)

For the rest Anole VX cannot be compare with Mason V3+ in term of depth, sound stage and tonal balance. Anyway Anole VX is the earphone that give me coloring sound (IMHO).

I'll compare it to the existing mason3.
Low-bass: Unlike conventional products, it has been tuned to a heavy, deep, low sound.
Medium: Unlike conventional products, significant heavy sound has been reinforced.
High-pitched: Smooth and sweet regardless of male and female vocals.

I selected Joker OS as the main song.

low: It sounds deeper and heavier than the Legend X low.

mid : It has more than the Legend X.

high : It's more refined than the old Mason 3 high notes, and it's something that anyone would like.

I would like to change my name to Mason V4
So much so that it's the most advanced tuning in the Mason series
but it has the most low and mid sounds among Ba driver earphones.

It's an earphone that's clearly different from the existing Mason3 and has a significant increase in the sense of mid and low.

I think it's similar to the Abyss diana Phi sounds

If you want to hear the end of Ba driver tuning, strongly recommend mason 3+
