The 3DT are standard sockets, seems that NICEHK 0.78 pins are slightly longer than other standards. 35802E3F-6D8A-447B-82F4-9B03B22B2FAA.jpegF4B5E866-B12F-441A-913E-07CA8164F961.jpegE1777039-E3EC-438F-9BE9-084596F1E980.jpeg

You're right, that's how they should be. I didn't notice the absence of the silver sleeve.

Can you please elaborate more on 3DT vs 64 Audio Trio, thanks in advance
Hi

Sorry for the delay in replying.

The Trio's have the edge when it comes to the width of soundstage and the mids and highs do show the attributes of balanced armatures, ie very precise but perhaps lacking a little soul.

All a matter of personal choice of course.

The details reproduced by the 3DT do compare very favorably but with a more narrow soundstage but excellent depth.

The more I listen to these the more impressed I am unusually for this hobby I would say that they are underpriced:)

Compared to the standard 3DT, do the HK Special versions have different sound tuning, outer shell colour or both?

Don't have the North American version here in HK so can't compare sound differences. Maybe check with @Unique Melody .

@UniqueMelody already confirmed that there are no change in the sound signature between the two, only cosmetic changes are there.

That sounds so appealing! A more natural, perhaps analog sound, but not lacking much In details and technicalities, yet another IEM I gotta get. So beautiful to boot.

I really can’t make much sense out of the cartoonish “official” graph. In general, how would you describe the tuning? How is the quantity of bass compared to the Trio or Nio? Thanks!

Hi. Wondering if Mest has same sockets as 3DT? Like to attach Dunu Duw 02 to 3DT but I’d like to know if it will insert flush. Out of my 7 sets of .78 cables, none of them insert flush, some not more than half way, save for some banned cheapies I have. Thanks

MEST has protruding sockets, 3DT sockets are flush.

Thanks, what can you say about bass?
I already have Trio but I'm looking for something warmer and fun.
