Unclamping Sennheiser HD650?

I just wondered if there was a way of loosening up the Sennheiser HD650 so that they would sit comfortably on a wide head - without losing their qualities, or simply having them fall off. Anyone tried and had a good and successful experience?

Did you just get them? They usually loosen up a bit as the foam in the pads settles in.

If not, you can stretch them gently around some books to make them wider. Be careful, though. I remember one person who accidentally broke his Sennheiser by stretching them apart.

I hope they become comfortable enough for you to enjoy them - the HD-650 is a wonderful headphone.
