So I've had the um3x for a while and they sound pretty good to me. Got them for 300 @ thegearlabs. I've tried different tips and am now considering a pico slim. The fit is alright but now I'm curious about the custom fit molds. So I was wondering will I notice a big difference in SQ with the JH13 Pro? I listen to music that is encoded between 192-320 kbps. Are the JH13s going to sound just average with that kind of quality?

I am sure it will be worth it. Personally, I can hear difference between say $100 vs. $400 IEM even on music with bitrates of 96-128 kbps. 192 kbps is definitely good enough, while 320 kbps is generally indistinguishable from the original loseless. At least, I can't tell the difference, but if you got golden ear, maybe you could lol. Perhaps you should do a hearing test first.

JH13Pro are the ultimate upgrade over any universal IEMs include UM3x and iam sure you will find big difference especially in soundstage , separation and details.

yep of course you will notice a difference. Some of my music at 192kbps sounds fine with my 13's some of it doesn't. Not actually tried lossless yet but there is the camp of thought that for the 13's lossless is essential. My 320kbps music sounds amazing though and I'm happy so yea go for it..join the club

I went from the Westone 3 with custom tips to the JH13 using an Iphone 3g as the source, and couldn't be happier. They were a huge improvement. You will definitely notice a difference with MP3's, but you will probably want better recordings once you hear what the 13's can do.

All my recordings are lossless. I went from the UM3X to the JH13s....and then added a TWag cable. Unfair to the UM3X, which I enjoyed and still have, there just is no comparison between these two. I suspect it will be the same, but to not such a degree, with recordings at 192-320 kbps.

If you have the funds, I would strongly encourage you to consider getting the JH13s.

Was the TWag cable a major improvement over the stock cable?

Music comes and goes in different forms and versions. I am sure you can hear subtle differences between 320kbps and 128kbps. You can later enjoy either lossless or low bitrate mp3's, but I am sure you will love your JH-13's no matter what bitrate.
