I am interested in getting an Ultrasone HFI-780 and doing a recable. The reviews are very appealing to me. However, I am pretty confused as to the difference between the different recables. I have narrowed it down to ALO or Moon Audio, but after a bit more looking, I see that the ALO has an all together different cable setup. It looks like the cables run directly into both drivers separately, while all others, including Moon Audio, just plug into headphones like the stock cable. Is there a performance difference between the two different setups? Does the ALO style actually give a benefit, or is it just for fancy factor?

Oh, by the way, if you are selling a HFI-780, let me know

Drew does split-entry. This is one can that benefits greatly from a re-cable. I liked them stock, but the recable takes them to a new level.
