I am looking for a closed phone to watch movies whilst my wife sleeps beside me. I want a fon with bass impact, so that I can almost get that sub woofer feel during action movie sequences. I am particularly intertested in the ultrasone Hfi 580 or Hfi 500DJ1 as they seem to fit the bill based on my searching through threads. Here in Australia, they both cost about the same, so I am interested in hearing from people that have experienced both fons for their impressions. The HFI 580s do look a little classier (crome finish) and they are only 20 grams heavier. They are basically the same in every other aspect that I can seee, however I am obviously interested in how they sound. Does one have better bass impact than the other? Do they isloate well? Are they comfortable? Would you recommend for movie watching?
If people have other sugestions (keeping in mind my needs) then please give me your thoughts. There isn't much info on closed fons, particularly at the lo fi end.
