that's weird I actually thought the headband is nice and cushy. I would like to see the completed project thou post pics. Do you own the HD650 cause I wanna see a pic with them next to a pro900 to get an idea for size.

headband is not working for me cause its not comfortable on my head 

. Its causing me more pain more that a couple hours i feel a headache coming on from it.

I no longer have the HD650 - I like the Pro 900 better
 
The first bump in the road is getting that headband - it seems Sennheiser doesn't want to sell it as a spare part, but lists this one instead:

You might want to try getting some Pro 2900s.. I've never tried the 750s, but I have tried the 900s and the 2900s are much more musical (to my ears). They cost quite a bit on Amazon, but you can find other authorized dealers selling for less.
