the animal rescue that the wife works is going to pay for my headphones that the dog ate
so now I need to decide if to get tf10 again or something that fits better but has that tf10 sound
it was a tall table but it's up against the headboard of my bed

The FX700 has a similarly v-shaped signature, and isn't nearly as cumbersome in terms of finding a good fit. I'd highly recommend looking into the FX700.

Any suggestion as to what brand jack to use to re-terminate my jaben cable? It's fraying in places and I can't find anything that will do the job because the wires are just so thin.

I'm considering switching to these completely... just discovered them the other day and they are absolutely wonderful :)

I'm not affiliated with the guy, I just pay full price for his stuff on my own projects.

It's fine! You'll have a little bit of barrel space, but you'll be ok! I mean just LOOK at those things! I made a pair of cables with the RCA's that he makes (non Carbon Fiber) and I'm super impressed with the fit and finish of Vintage Audio Labs stuff :)

yes very  pretty but isnt it the same size as the other VALab plug? I have that other one and its the same size as the barrel of the Calrad plug, heres a pict I got from br777, it shows the calrad one

calrad is first next to the clip, the VALab has same size in the barrel.

plus the strain relief in the VALab plugs are 3 screws to put pressure on the cable. this pict is mine, and that is the grado SR80 cable inside a sleeve and heatshrink, so that is very thick.

having a bad day at work yesterday, I come home to block it out with some music and the wife decides to tell me her dog got on the table and ate 2  of my head phones . TF10  and some meeletronics phones      the tf10 just got back from ue and 2 week old  cw31p
so i need something inexpensive  till i can get a new pair ,   any suggestions?

just burns me i found part when pick up after the dog

This is suspect.  What would motivate a dog to get up on a table and eat headphones?  That's not plausible dog-like behavior.  IEMs neither taste good nor make good chew toys.

I think the real question should be:

What motivated your wife to put your IEMs in the bowl with the dog food?
