Well against all the bad reviews against a design/quality flaw in the cable, I have decided to buy a pair of these from Amazon.com. The good reviews sound too good to pass up on for $160
 
I will receive them in a couple of days and am quite excited. I hope I will not have to replace the cables anytime soon. I have a question. Has anyone used these IEM's while running, or working out. I have a pair of SE 110's that I use for the gym etc and was wondering about the integrity of these phones under conditions of sweat and vibrations etc? My SE 110's have really taken a beating and after my third repair, they are on their last limbs...

I bought UE pins from Ebay, Neutrik NTP3RC-B 3.5mm from a shop on the street and wires also coming from Navship Ebay again.
Seeing that this is my first ever DIY cable gig, I didn't want to spend a fortune, also I want to horn my skills before I try the more exotic and expensive stuff!
Pins $10 inc postage
Wire $10 inc postage
Plug $7
Now I'm looking for some nice heatshrink to wrap it all up or leave al fresco.
Looking forward to the wires arriving. Main thing is do your homework, I only recently found Head Fi and I have been trolling through posts and gained quite a lot of knowledge in what to do, now I just need to turn that into practical! Lol.

No, the earhoops are pre moulded so they won't straighten. There are straight versions on ebay such as this one.
